More Annoyed than Amused

Buc-ees

Posted by parsingtime on April 12, 2010

Have you guys ever been to Buc-ees? Husband and I stopped there on our way to Dallas and were amazed at the cleanliness of the bathrooms and size of the store. They sell everything. Breakfast burritos, lattes, Dr. Pepper Icees, Jerky, homemade Fudge, Beaver nuggets (whatever those are), clothes, sunglasses, banana pudding, entire apple pies, rawhide chairs and a whole lot more.

I’ve also never seen so many hand sanitizer dispensers in one place outside of a hospital.  It was insanely busy and you order everything via touchscreen computers.

If you have never been I highly recommend it. The bathrooms alone are worth it but the people watching is the cherry on top.

We love Buc-ees. Stacy and kids never drive past it – they always stop, no matter what. I’ve never gotten out of there spending less than $20.00. Where else can you stop for gas and cheap ice and also get candied pineapple slices, beaver nuggets, and pasta salad with pine nuts, basil, fresh tomatoes and a balsamic dressing? It is at the perfect point on the road between Lufkin and Austin.

Robert knows Buc-ee Beaver by name. I have nursed Nicholas several times in the clean restrooms. There are very few places between here and Dallas where you would want to nurse a baby. My mom and I ate 4/5 of a package of beaver nuggets before I looked at the package and realized it had 13 servings.
